Preparing to Practice Before the US Tax Court

The course is designed to assist tax professionals who wish to to learn more about Tax Court practice and/or to prepare them to pass the written nonattorney admission exam administered biannually. The course presents material in the four subject areas tested, including Tax Court Practice and Procedure, Evidence, Legal Ethics and Federal Taxation. Topics are taught and prior Tax Court exam questions (with actual scored answers) are used as the basis of material presented in the text and at live lectures.
The full 2018 Exam Cycle series includes One Year Study Class (provided online in our student-access-only portion of our website) plus attendance at all live lecture sessions. Special content available to our students includes on-demand webinars and a Forum for use by our students, instructors and mentors.

|Full Exam Cycle Series: Includes all online content (monthly assignments, on-demand webinars, timed quizzes in the final months before the exam) and attendance at the live training sessions (including the text and instructional materials used for all classes), plus access to the Student Forum and access to any other content made available during this cycle.||
|OPTION 2: Includes attendance for any two (2) live training sessions (and the text and instructional materials used for those classes only), plus access to the Student Forum. This does include access to the other student content, including webinars, quizzes and other content.||
|OPTION 3:Includes attendance for any one (1) live training session (and the text and instructional materials used for that class only), plus access to the Student Forum. This does not include access to the other student content, including webinars, quizzes and other content.||
REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY: If you cancel 10 or less days after registering, your refund is reduced by a $150 administrative fee. If you cancel more than 10 days after registering and 30 or more days before a class session, your refund is reduced by a $300 administrative fee plus a charge of $200 per month for each full or partial month you had access to the 2018 Exam Cycle One Year Study Class program materials (not to exceed the cost of the class). All class fees are considered earned when the live session is held in May, July or November 2018. No refund is possible if you cancel less than 30 days before any class or if you are unable to attend some or all of a class session. All cancellation requests must be made in writing and faxed to 714.777.3463, or scanned and emailed to email@example.com – the date received determines the cancellation date.
Session I • Preparing to Practice Before the US Tax Court (IRS Program #NMVBP-T-00100-18-1) covers Practice/Procedure • Evidence • Legal Ethics • 5/21-22-23/18 (MON/TUES/WED), Las Vegas, NV allocates time between topics shown, which account for 60% of the exam. Field of Study: Taxes (24 hours).
Session II • Comprehensive Federal Tax Issues (IRS Program #NMVBP-T-00087-18-1) covers Federal Taxation • Court Cases • 7/16-17-18/18 (MON/TUES/WED), Las Vegas, NV allocates time on Federal Taxation concepts and problems, and recently litigated Tax Court cases. Field of Study: Taxes (24 hours).
Session III • Review Tax Court Exam (IRS Program #NMVBP-T-00088-18-1) review for exam • 11/5-11/16/18 (Mon/Tues) • Alexandria, VA reviews all topics and includes a timed, 2-hour practice test. CPA Field of Study: Taxes (14 hours, no CPE for CPAs for the practice exam). An optional informal study session on Sunday 11/4/18 allows mentors and students to work together, but no CE is available for the informal study session.
Travel and Hotel: May and July classes are held at Golden Nugget, Las Vegas and November classes are held at Old Town Hilton, Alexandria, VA. Room costs, booking code, and other information will be provided with the Welcome/Seminar Confirmation after your registration is processed.
NOTE: If you miss any class, the text and other materials will be shipped to you for self-study but no CE is available for the missed session(s).

This seminar is designed to assist tax professionals desiring to learn more about Tax Court practice and/or to prepare them to pass the written nonattorney admission exam administered biannually, and we anticipate it will meet the requirements for 62 hours of continuing education for NASBA. No credit is earned for the practice exam and CPE hours are earned per 50 minutes of instruction. Level: Overview. Field of Study: Taxes (62). Delivery method: Group Live. The course is directed towards the tax professional with a basic foundation of individual Federal taxation topics, but no advance preparation is required and there are no specific education or experience requirements.
IRS CE: Gregory & Associates, Inc. (dba USTC Practitioner’s Services), is authorized by the IRS Return Preparer Office to offer CE to enrolled agents in accordance with their policy for the live course sessions under Treasury Department Circular 230 Sections 10.6(f) and 10.9. This seminar is designed to meet the requirements for up to 64 hours of continuing education for enrolled agents in Federal Tax/Federal Tax Matters.
